Winner and another Freebie Friday!

Apologies for the late announcement. They did have Internet available in the lobby at the hotel at Fuji yesterday, but there were a lot of hikers waiting in line to use it (it rained all day and all night, making hiking impossible), so I didn't get a chance to get on the computer. We're at the posh Yokohama Grand hotel today, but we'll be heading to Baba and Jiji's tomorrow (our adopted Japanese Grandma and Grandpa) and I doubt I'm going to be able to get online again. So... this post will have to serve as both the winner post and this week's Freebie Friday, okay? Okay. Here we go...

The winner of this week's TRANCE ARC, bookmarks and signed flat is:

Deniz Bevan

Congrats, Deniz! Please send your mailing instructions to gerb (@) lindagerber (.) com and we'll get those sent out to you.

Everyone else, leave a comment below for this week's chance to win - and to be entered in the drawing for this month's Trance countdown grand prizes - a custom engraved digital keychain and one of two $50 Amazon gift certificates.

This week's comment subject... This visit to Japan for my family and I has been like coming home again. A lot has changed, but it many ways, it feels like we never left. Have you ever experienced that kind of feeling?
OR
Is there anyplace in your past that you would love to visit again?

This drawing will remain open until Wednesday, September 22.

I haven't visited too many places, but I definitely enjoyed being in Hawaii. It was such a beautiful place and there is a feeling of ease and relaxation there. It was great to see so many happy people too!

After high school I moved to Nevada with my boyfriend (who I call by a not so nice nickname now) for a couple months and it seemed like a while but the minute I came back home it felt like I never left. It was such a weird feeling but I loved it. :)

I've never lived anywhere but Melbourne, so I've never had that feeling of having two home towns.

I would like to go back to pretty much everywhere I've ever holidayed at! Tasmania would be high on the list, I went there for a whirlwind school trip when I was 15. Absolutely loved it - beautiful scenery, very lush and green. Port Arthur (an old convict prison) was really interesting.

Before my senior year of high school, our school took us on a trip to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It was so beautiful and so much fun. I loved all the culture and the food? So freakin' good. I would love, love, love to do that trip all over again! :)

I visited Perth once over the weekend and have always thought my time there was too short. I would love to go there again.

How about Miami University's campus? Various hang outs -- and even the new coffee shop uptown. The location of my first-ever solo writing weekend. Peaceful and brings back so many memories. (Although, London would be great again, too!)

I was born and raised in New York and would love to visit again and see some of my old friends. Would love to shop and eat at some of my favorite friends. I have not been back for a long time so it would be exciting to see how it has changed.

When I took my first ever international trip a few years ago I was enthralled with the beauty, charm and history of Greece. This country felt so comfortable and warm.

The feeling of belonging and fitting in somewhere began when I moved away from my roots and started over. This amazing place has been a reawakening of my heart and soul. This is a gift which I am appreciative of every single day.

As for me... I wish I was back in Turkey - or, heck, at this point I'll take anywhere in Europe!

I had a dog named fuji. he was a japanese akita and he rocked. He makes me want to go to japan even though thats a really obscure reason.

I haven't been that many places but if i could go somewhere again, I'd say florida. I've been there many times but I love it. Plus, now they have this Harry Potter world thing that I want to check out...

I was a nanny for two years in Boston, so I'd love to go back there and look at it all with older eyes. I was 19/20 then!

I'd love to visit countries with all four seasons - as we don't have them here in Sri Lanka!

I would love to revisit St. Simon's Island. I was only able to be there for about a day, and I didn't get to explore nearly enough. It's a gorgeous place. I love Spanish moss.

I've often felt that I've lived many past lives because some places draw me like magnets. Egypt, for one.
