And now, I have to tell you about my geek out moments last week while I was at RWA... So, Wednesday evening, I got to party with the YA Golden Heart finalists before the Literacy Signing. Very cool group of ladies. I had to leave early to go get set up for the signing, so I leave them to their margaritas, and step onto the elevator, and right there in front of me is Melissa de la Cruz! I do the complete geek thing and gush to her about what a fan I am. Yes, I am smooth like that. Anyway, Melissa walks to the signing with me. Such a genuine and nice person. And then! I've known Tera Lynn Childs online for forever, but never had a chance to meet her in person until this conference. Again, nicest person alive. I love her.
And I got to hang out with Marley Gibson and Wendy Toliver and Rosemary Clement-Moore and meet Tina Ferraro and hold Simone Elkeles's Rita statue, and... it was so cool.
Oh! And I met Meg Cabot!!! She's one of my most favorite authors ever. I am completely in love with Jesse, the hot Spanish ghost in her MEDIATOR series. They gave copies of her new book, INSATIABLE away at the conference and I devoured it in like two days. Anyway, I got my picture taken with Meg Cabot!!! Yes, I am such a geeky fangirl. But back to Melissa de la Cruz... she and Ally Carter did a workshop about author branding. Afterward, I went up to talk to Melissa, and... she remembered me from Wednesday and greeted me warml
y. Can I just say what a thrill that was? As was meeting Ally Carter for the first time. My daughters and I have read every one

YES! I totally geeked out when I met Chino from Deftones. They have been one of my favorite bands since I was 13. I stood in line FOREVER and when I finally got to the front, I started babbling about the most ridiculous things. "I love your music! Did you have a white pony? Because you named your album white pony...can I hug you?"
Yeah...
*shame*
Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
*crosses fingers and hopes*

I'm such a big Ally Carter fan! Although I haven't been able to meet her in person (yet), I text all my friends when she sent me a tweet.
I'd love to have a signed copy of the first Gallagher book!
I totally geeked out when I met Diana Peterfreund at ALA I believe I told her that I came on Saturday just for her signing.

I have not been able to meet any of my favorite authors in person but I imagine I would totally geek out. I am rather shy and usually from instances in the past when crushing on someone and then being introduced to them I get totally tongue-tied. So embarassing. I have not read either of these authors yet so I would love to be entered in the drawing. Thank you!
I got to meet the musician Matt Nathanson last summer in a really random way and I totally geeked out. I was walking home from his concert in Central Park and happened to just run in to him and because I wasn't expecting it I just totally lost it. He was a total sport and took a picture and signed some stuff thank goodness.

Sadly (or maybe not?) I have never met someone famous. I'm sure that I would be in awe though and say something dorky and later think of a billion things I would have wanted to say. Lol

I geeked out when a speaker whom I admired came to town. We took photos and I was thrilled about this opportunity.
Definitely! My geekdom moment arrived at a book signing with a local author. I could barely speak.
The time I geeked out is when I met Cassandra Clare at a book signing. I couldn't say anything and I just kind of stared.I was totally embrassed .I was just so excited, and she is one of my favorite authors.
Maybe next time I meet her maybe my mouth will start moving. :)

When I was 16 I met Dez from Coal Chamber (which was my favorite band) and just shut down. I even stammered when I talked...it was so embarrassing.

hehehe!!=) I have not met to many famous people- weird since they all come to Hawaii but I dont think I pay attention very well. I do recall walking past Adam Sandler and a few others w/o even knowing. But then I seen an interview by Adam later saying that it's the reason he comes to Hawaii so often- many of us don'r recognize or pay much mind.
Anyhow- I do have a moment.
Recently, I had to visit a home that my work sent me out to. The gentleman and his wife (in their old age) were both surf legends and i wanted to die just meeting with them and chit chatting among them. Of course, everyone know someone who knows someone in Hawaii- so I do know one of their children and grandchild but have never met them personally. AMAZING!!
As for the prizes I am blown away. I JUST read and reviewed Book One of the Gallagher Girls and LOVED IT! Melissa de la Cruz is on my TBR so I would love to win!=)
Mahalo for this opportunity!! Also, I am posting my review of Trance sometime tonight or tomorrow. I am one of the ARC readers with Lauren.
Mahalo for a fabulous read with Trance!
